从技术方面来看，无缝异型钢管行业在调整产品结构上有了长足的进步，2014年高附加值、高技术含量产品增长较快。从无缝管领域来看，石油专用管、高压锅炉管、气瓶、无缝异型钢管液压支护管产量都有较大程度提高;从焊管领域来看，管线管、J55级表层石油套管、中低压锅炉焊管、高强度耐候建筑结构焊管、汽车传动轴管、钢塑复合管以及大口径方矩形管、精密异型焊管、气动液压焊管等都有较大程度的提高或开发，因而体现在经济效益好转。尽管上游原料价格上涨幅度较大，但异型钢管各企业在适应市场变化、调整产品结构和对标挖潜方面做了大量的工作，使钢管市场价格比较稳定，企业效益仍然上升。

In the field of seamless pipe, the output of special oil pipe, high pressure boiler pipe, gas cylinder and seamless special-shaped steel pipe hydraulic support pipe has been greatly increased; in the field of welded pipe, pipeline pipe, J55 surface oil pipe, welded pipe of medium and low pressure boiler, welded pipe of high strength weatherproof building structure, automobile transmission axle pipe, steel-plastic composite pipe and large caliber square rectangular pipe, precision special-shaped welded pipe, gas pipe. Hydraulic welded pipes and so on have been greatly improved or developed, which is reflected in the improvement of economic benefits. Although the price of raw materials in the upstream has risen considerably, a lot of work has been done by the special-shaped steel pipe enterprises in adapting to market changes, adjusting product structure and tapping potential for tenders, so that the market price of steel pipe is relatively stable and the benefits of enterprises are still rising. 我国无缝异型钢管行业生产技术装备水平既有世界顶尖的无缝钢管和焊接钢管生产机组，无缝异型钢管又有不断增加的穿孔+冷拔机组和焊接钢管热镀锌机组等。异型钢管后者生产过程涉及到废酸、废水的处理和废气排放等问题，这些机组大部分装备水平很低，环保设施不完善。无缝异型管初步统计数据显示，穿孔+冷拔机组占我国无缝钢管机组总数的比例达60%左右，产量占20%左右，热镀锌机组也占有一定的比例。这些机组中相当一部分是属于须淘汰或改造的产能。
The production technology and equipment level of China's seamless special-shaped steel pipe industry includes the world's top seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe production units, seamless special-shaped steel pipe production units and the increasing number of perforation+cold drawing units and hot-dip galvanizing units for welded steel pipes. The latter involves waste acid, waste water treatment and exhaust gas discharge. Most of these units have low equipment level and imperfect environmental protection facilities. Preliminary statistical data of seamless special-shaped tubes show that the proportion of perforation and cold drawing units to the total number of seamless steel tube units in China is about 60%, the output is about 20%, and the hot-dip galvanizing units also account for a certain proportion. A considerable part of these units belong to the capacity that needs to be eliminated or revamped.
